We create conditions that make Stockholm a global centre for societal innovations improving quality of life.
More about Openlab
Since February Openlab has been establishing a whole new work scene in Stockholm. We’ve created an environment which is not just a workplace, but also a network providing opportunities to find new assignments and build your future for a more sustainable society.
In addition to an open coworking space designed for collaboration and creativity, our members have access to our makerspace situated on the ground floor. All setup for 3D printing, prototyping and hands-on workshops.
At the Open Café, you can try out a variety of multicultural inspired dishes, all prepared from organic produce, and served in a inspiring environment designed for discussions and creativity.
You can book a room for conferences, seminars or dinners. If you would like us to tailor something specifically for your organization or venture, we can do that too.
Get a room!
We are proud to present MATLABORATORIET, Openlab's new podcast about food, science and society.
In this podcast series we will introduce you to a number of food related subjects and societal challenges. In the first episode you'll get new knowledge and insight about our most underrated sense.
The dates for the Design Thinking Intro Courses for the spring are set!
Take the opportunity to increase your capacity to solve complex problems in innovative ways. No matter your profession, Design Thinking will affect how you address your daily work. It is a toolkit of exercises as much as a mind-set that makes you reframe your challenges and create understanding for your target groups.

Another term of Openlab's master's course has come to an end, and the students from our four partner universities, KTH, SU, SH and KI, have completed their projects.
The challenges the interdisciplinary student teams of autumn 2017 has worked on are about Children's Right To Culture (a challenge from the Culture Administration, City of Stockholm), more flexible solutions for transports for people in Stockholm (from the County Council) and measures for better water quality in Stockholm (from the Environmental administration, city of Stockholm & Eriksson, within the collaboration Digital Demo Stockholm).
Their insight and solutions are presented at the project delivery event at Openlab on January 11, 9.00-12.00 and in their project reports.
