The Citizen House as the Heart of Södermalm

Medborgarhuset at Södermalm in Stockholm is about to see some much needed improvements for the tenants — at least if our student team the Rosebuds get their idéas through. This spring, they are creating user-centered solutions for Medborgarhuset (the Citizen House), on behalf of Fastighetskontoret, City of Stockholm.

On April 24th, the Openlab master’s team hosted an exciting and insightful design-thinking workshop at Medborgarhuset.  They gathered key stakeholders including Forsgrénska badet, Tranströmerbiblioteket, and Stadsmusseet to work on the challenge of How to make Medborgarhuset the heart of Södermalm.

“It was a dynamic and collaborative session where we shared our progress and listened to valuable input, ideas, concerns, and potential solutions for this complex project. Community and co-creation were at the heart of it all.”

At the end, all of the participants got to take a look at the Ljunglöfska salongen, which was a great finish of the workshop!
